| Contents | thanks her for Mary's letter; thanks her for news of Max's career move [Max L. Strack?]; assures Mary that Ada does not hide anything from her; she has got over the break-up of her relationship; she has started work, looking after the three little girls of Mrs. Macquay [sic], teaching German and piano, but only until the middle of June; she therefore will work at Kulles only for another two weeks and move in with Rigatinis; she will take Italian lessons in the evenings from Professor [Giuseppe] Rigutini; she wants to sit an Italian exam on her way back in Berlin; asks her to keep the information confidential; will she meet Mary in Hamburg in the summer?; admires Mary's design for a poster; thinks that Mary's work nursing her mother must be a welcome break from her art work; asks Mary to buy music for her if time permits it; Ada did not want to stay with Miss Müller and moved to Bulles [=Rigutinis]; they are nice people, their three little small children, however, are trying; recently Ada had heard people mention the name of Dr. Warburg, always full of praise; Dr. [Hermann] Ulmann, one of her friends, often speaks of Warburg; Ulmann told Ada that Warburg said he will never get married; Ulmann is invited by the Krahnstöver family often; [Arnold] Böcklin was very kind, he found Ada's costume the best of all, but he has not invited her to visit his studio; sends greetings to Max [Max L. Strack?] |
