Contentsis pleased that her food parcel has arrived safely; Max Adolph is also putting on weight, 85 pounds, but with boots; he is working hard at school; weather is cold, wet; a summer party was planned for the next day, with plays, dances, songs, in Wellingsbüttel, in the garden of Professor Max Möller, but it had to be postponed by eight days because of bad weather; the 'Böckis' have to stay in their stables because of the bad weather; is grateful that neighbours bring them food for the goats; uncle Wilhelm's [Hertz] trip to Schönwalde was in vain, the Pastor [Paul Benemann?] had already invited two other boys to stay with him; Hans [Hertz] will not join the Warburg family to go to Fallingbostel, he will most probably go with aunt Usch [Ursula Benemann] to Mecklenburg; Eva [Hertz] is getting better; does Frede read newspapers?; there is great agitation about Kühlmann's speech and the retreat of the Austrians; Warburg thanks her for letter of 24/06/1918
