| Contents | she sent a letter and mother's blotting-book; her mail from Klingberg and Lübeck will have arrived by now; she met Hugo Gilbert in Lübeck; Mary called at Mrs. Hesse's and congratulated her on [Carl Georg] Heise's engagement; she also saw a photograph of the bride, Hilde Neumann; Mrs. Hesse has written the good news to Warburg, thinks highly of Warburg; Mary is very sorry that Warburg has to stay in bed so often and feels badly treated; but he has done the same thing in Hamburg: whatever happens to him he interprets as bad treatment; Mary does not know what to say on limiting Warburg's daily correspondence; hopes that [Rudolf] Tschudi will visit, coming from Zurich; she remembers well the painting by Verboeckhoven; the previous evening she had dinner at Fritzanna's [Fritz and Anna Warburg's], Elsa and George Melchior and Dr. Regendanz also attended; Frede has joined Fritzanna [Fritz and Anna Warburg] in Kösterberg after school, Mary will join them the next day, but has to return to Hamburg as Wegehaupts will visit Mary |
