Contentsis pleased that he had a long letter from Max Adolph; she as well is impressed how well Max Adolph characterizes people and events; reminds Warburg that he cannot expect replies quickly, a letter takes three days to Hamburg and three days to Kreuzlingen; in the meantime he will have received Alice's cable; it is Warburg's fault if he is not allowed to open his window, she can well imagine what barrage of abuse he has hurled at passers-by; the previous evening she has invited Saxl, Panofskys, Percy Ernst Schramm and Ruth Schramm, Dr. [Ludwig] Münz, Sievekings, first in the garden, then in Mary's drawing room; she did not want to invite guests into the library in Warburg's absence; she offered wine; she needs to buy more cigars, Wilhelm [Hertz], [Heinrich] Embden, Saxl either use them for presents or smoke them; Frede signs, has just returned from her dance lesson
