| Contents | acknowledges receipt of three letters, all of them very sad and hardly legible; knows that his bad handwriting is the result of the drugs he was given; is very sorry that her visit had such a bad effect on him; he cannot seriously believe that Märstetten is a pretend railway station and that she is still in Kreuzlingen; tells him that it is too silly even to contradict him; hopes that Max Warburg will be allowed to visit Warburg on his return journey from St. Moritz; the library and house in Heilwigstrasse are in full working order; Saxl has sent a letter to Warburg; two people work on the library catalogue, [Gertrud] Bing and [Ludwig] Münz from Vienna, both seem to work very well; the Reinhardt lecture the previous evening went very well, very interesting in contents, but not so good in delivery; 80 people attended; the next lecture will be by [E.] Norden, from Berlin, who will be Mary's guest; Fledermaus [Frede Warburg] signed a card and signs the letter; Mary has described the Kalckreuth painting in her sitting room; which dress does he mean, the one she had in Kreuzlingen?; Fanny [du Bois-Reymond] and Lola du Bois-Reymond are with Mary, Fanny was in Freiburg and is on her way to Plön; Lili du Bois-Reymond will visit Mary in February |
