| Contents | hopes that the smell from the freshly painted window sill in his room has evaporated; she has sent him envelopes by post; she cannot bring new hernia trusses, she would have first to speak to Binswangers; but as he has trusses and two sets of padding ['Palotten'] his request is not urgent; she might talk to Binswangers about it and if they agree she can then order new trusses in Hamburg and ask Malice [Max and Alice Warburg] to take them to Warburg; Alice brought Mary presents for Warburg and Mary; Max Warburg has written from New York and from White Plains, where he stayed with Paul [Warburg]; Wilhelm, the servant, was happiest seeing Max again; Bettina [Warburg] is still in Loon Lake, where Paul and Max will meet her; Max has seen Catherine [Katharine Warburg/Kay Swift], Jimmy's [James Paul Warburg's] wife, in New York; Catherine is expecting their second child in October; Mary was not able to see Embden, hopes that his letter has arrived in the meantime; [Heinrich] Embden plans to arrive on 07/10/1922 and to talk with Warburg then; Mary and the children will visit Warburg in the morning of 08/10/1922, the main celebration will be the midday meal; Embden will stay three days |
