| Contents | thanks for letters; is very happy with the news of Oskar [Lola Hahn's baby]; Max Adolph wrote that Brabands in Mannheim had a little girl, Gudrun; she enjoyed the trip to Heidelberg, they met up with Max Adolph, [Peter Paul Braden, [Adolf Ernst] Napp and Thiede; she likes having met Braden, he is like Max Adolph described him; Napp is very well educated, decent; Thiede was very interested in Frede, but Frede was able to stop him; Lulu [Kleinwort], who is in Heidelberg, was not in when they were there; the trip to Rothenburg was lovely, they stayed three days; unfortunately Lena was not with them, only Mrs. Hammer; Mrs. Hammer explained everything very well, Marietta was happy visiting Rothenburg again, as she remembered so many things; in one week they will make a trip to Bamberg; Marietta is so happy that Frede is with her, she likes it very much, is only nervous about cookery lessons with Lena [Hammer]; sends greetings to Emmy [Emilie Merck], cannot say anything about future work; when she met Max Adolph she found him dejected because he has to write lies to Warburg; how can he be helped?; Frede and Marietta will return to Hamburg at the end of August, without Max Adolph |
