Curtius received a letter from Max Warburg, that the dollar foundation has come to nothing; it is very embarrassing for Max Adolph, hopes that Braden's scholarship will not be cancelled; thanks for money; has plans either to go skiing or to stay in Heidelberg and return to Hamburg only at the end of the holidays; wants to have 'Nutzen's' [Marietta Warburg's] address to plan a walking tour; hopes that Marietta is still in Aschaffenburg; how is aunt Pi [Lili du Bois-Reymond] and how is Mary getting on with the bust?; Hoffmann told him that he had a letter from aunt Pi in which she confessed being depressed; what is Lola [du Bois-Reymond, Lili's daughter] doing?; wished he could paint; he will stay for another semester in Heidelberg; Braden does not advise him to go to Munich; also, Thiede will be in Heidelberg for the next winter semester; he wants to stay in Heidelberg, because [L] Curtius is a good teacher; Victor Goldschmidt had his 70th birthday, but Max Adolph will not visit him, finds him too boring; he likes Lenels; is very sorry that Mrs. [Ida] Boll has died; Max Adolph needs new underwear
