[Gerhard Nelson (1909-1944) is Elisabeth and Leonard Nelson's son.] Paul's and Elisabeth's children are Fanny Kistner (1918-2006), a pianist, and and the historian Cecile Lowenthal-Hensel (* 1923).
HistoryStudied philosophy, history and classics in Freiburg (1885 dissertation); at Erlangen Hensel was the supervisor of Hans Reichenbach's dissertation on the theory of probability.
