Contentsreports on his part playing the young lover in 'Tagblatt 367' in Frankfurt; he acted opposite Miss [Aennes] Edinger; uncle Moritz [Oppenheim] wrote the play, which started out as being an ambitious production of R. Wagner's 'Valkyries' [Die Walküre], produced by a provincial theatre company from Saxony; Mr. Horr as 'Siegmund' sings his first aria but drops down with exhaustion; Sieglinde, Aennes, gives him ink to drink instead of a strengthening apple juice; the producer apologizes and offers another play, 'Tagblatt 367'; the performance was a great success; dinner and dancing followed, it was a great evening; he enjoyed the company; H. Nippen accompanied him as his aunt and uncle had kindly invited him; they returned to Bonn and attended a lecture by H. Thode given to raise funds for a charity; he is very surprised at the news of E. Levison's engagement; finds her a bit too young for such a decision; thanks her for a food parcel; he unwrapped the venison when P. Ruben appeared in his flat and asked what he was doing; is pleased that Louise is well, but wants to know about Felix's illness; when does 'Pudel' [Paul] have his oral exams?; what are the news from R. [Richard] Robinow - has he passed his exams?; sends greetings to father, siblings, the 'syrup sweet Miss' [=Franziska], aunt Mali [Amalie Goldschmidt]
