Contentsacknowledges gratefully receipt of letters and trunk; because of the fine weather Ernst Burmeister and Warburg went on a walking tour to Achensee; he nearly missed getting up in time, but Burmeister woke him at half past four in the morning; they travelled to Gmünd from where they started out on foot to Tegernsee, then on to Glashütte and to Hagen im Wald where they spent the night; he liked Hagen, he wants to spend his summer holidays there; next day they walked to Achensee, took a boat across the lake, walked to Jenbach and from there travelled back home; he enjoyed it very much; he only regretted that he was unshaved; if only he had his own shaving kit and a mirror, he could shave himself; requests groceries to be sent, tea, butter, meat and old copies of 'Hamburgischer Correspondent'; Max Warburg wrote that he wants to join the Chevaux legers [Light Cavalry] in Munich; Warburg himself would like to join the dragoon regiment in Karlsruhe, as the Chevaux legers do not have the same reputation as elite regiment as the dragoons have; Warburg is happy to have chosen to come to Munich for a semester; would like to receive a cake baked by Rosa [Warburg?]
