Contentstells him of family festivities; on 04/11/1888 the Friedländers from Berlin had lunch with the Warburg family; they were in Hamburg for the first night of the opera by Siegfried Ochs; the reviews were not very good; Siegfried Ochs and his bride Charlotte Friedländer are very downcast; on 06/11/1888 there was a reception in Alsterufer for 120 people; everything was very elegant and beautiful; Therèse von Günzburg with her sister Olga and a companion had travelled from Dresden to Hamburg; she likes both sisters, well educated; she invited both sisters the previous day for lunch together with Schiffs, Dr. Lion, Dr. [Gustav?] Heylbut, Klietz, Mrs. Schünemann, Johann Nathan; J. Nathan sang and the Günzburgs sang; on 07/11/1888 Mrs. Friedländer had her birthday; Charlotte Warburg had lunch with [Mrs.?] Marie Friedländer, who was invited to spend the evening in the Warburg house; to Marie Friedländer's surprise, Max and Caroline Friedländer had invited many friends for the evening; the meal was followed by a performance 'Aus Liebe zur Kunst'; actors were Max and Caroline Friedländer, Paul May, Paul Warburg; the trunk for Warburg has been sent; Max and Felix send good reports; Olga was very pleased with the portrait photograph
