| Contents | thanks her for forwarding Max Warburg's letter and returns them; he is not feeling very well; he could not sleep, after having taking tablets prescribed by Dr. Cahn; Warburg is studying hard; the wife of Professor Hubert Janitschek has invited Warburg, [E.] Meyer, Dr. [Hans] Lehner for a sauerkraut supper; the previous day Warburg collected Prof. Janitschek for a walk; Warburg had to talk the whole time as Janitschek did not want to talk because of his catarrh; mentions 'Schmars' [Schmarsow?], who has not been successful, so that it is likely that [G.] Dehio will be successful; is annoyed that 'a little, horrible, philistine lecturer of Eastern extraction' has been appointed to assist [Harry?] Bresslau 'as whip'; Warburg is playing cards with E. Meyer in the evenings; is not surprised that Warburg's room in Hamburg is also used as serving room |
