Sanders came for lunch, she did such a lot when Paul Warburg was ill and met Max Warburg in Heligoland; Dr. [Edward Adolf?] Sonnenschein is a guest in Alsterufer, Anna [Blumenfeld] and Bob [Martin Blumenfeld] have returned only a few days ago; the Blumenfeld - [Heinrich?] Embden affair is not going anywhere; aunt Théophilie [Warburg] plans of travelling,as the weather has turned too cold for her in Hamburg; Schiffs will not come to Hamburg; informs him that the youngest son of Mrs. Aschkenasy, Gabriel, has died; the Aschkenasys were on holiday in Switzerland, Gabriel, aged 17, returned early to Odessa and contracted typhus fever and died before his mother arrived home; Rosa [von Günzburg] writes contented letters from Petersburg; approves of Warburg's plans to spend the winter in England; Richard [Rosenbacher] happens to look for a flatmate; the young [Ernst] Oppler also goes to London; Fritz Warburg has moved up one form to 'Untersekunda' |
