Contentsthe weather in Hamburg is very bad, rain etc.; she went with Alice [Hallgarten?] to Kunsthalle to look at 'Totentanz' by Holbein in the department of prints and drawings, recently discussed by Alfred Lichtwark; on the Burkmayer 'Der Tod als Würger': Lichtwark explained the woman in classical garment as the lover of the murdered knight, but Olga cannot quite accept this interpretation; Mrs. Carl Oppenheim mentioned recently that the book 'Casa Paterna', and not 'Cameliendame', belonged to her; Mr. Varese keeps on asking about Warburg; Olga complains about the Italian pronouns; likes the [Eleonora] Duse picture which Warburg has sent, Duse is in Egypt and [Hans von] Bülow is also in Egypt with his wife and Mrs. Dr. Lazarus; Misses Schiffs [one of them Jenny Schiff] will join them in Egypt; finds Aby S. Warburg 'very modern'; reports from Hanau [Jeanette Fürth, called 'Nelly'] are are bit better lately; John [Johann Nicolaus] Hertz's grandmother, Mrs. Gossler, has died; Alfred [Adolf Leopold] Löwengard and Miss [Jenny] Kanitz from Vienna, got engaged, who had visited Hamburg the previous winter and stayed at Emil Oppenheim's; mother also signs the letter
