| Contents | Moritz tells them that the cable with the news of their safe landing in New York arrived on 14/09/1895; because of the Sabbath it was Madame de la Val who brought them the good news; Charlotte and Moritz also had letters from Loebs, Nina, Frieda and Felix; Charlotte and Moritz will leave Ostend in the afternoon, they had good weather throughout their stay; their friends enjoyed their stay as well, with the exception of the family Reinsberg; Marie Goldschmidt visited them in Ostend and her son Paul stayed with the Warburg family for a few days; include a letter by [Max] Schinckel [not extant], courtesy of Max Warburg; Moritz Warburg finds that Max von Schinckel is right, as his information is from Ertel Bieber, agent of Rio Tinto; the Charlotte and Moritz will meet [consul Eduard Friedrich?] Weber in Brussels and return via Frankfurt to Hamburg; Moritz wishes his children 'a good fast', sends thousand greetings to Loebs and Schiffs;Charlotte is looking forward to the reports from America |
