| Contents | Olga thanks him for a cable and birthday greetings; her birthday was celebrated with lunch at Mellini's; whilst Florence is lovely, the weather is less so, rain, wind; there are floods in Venice; she is pleased to visit galleries, the coffeehouse Giacosa and walking in the cascine; she does not think that they will visit Siena; she is very enthusiastic about the drawings in the Uffizi; thanks him for his birthday present for her, a copy of his PhD; asks him about the Minerva painting; muses that the reason why Botticelli painted the three Graces wearing thin dresses might have been that he had seen classical statues with dresses; in Bargello she discovered the original of the bust ['Young Girl with Rose'] of which Warburg has a plaster copy, modelled after the death mask of Simonetta; it reminds her of the portrait of Simonetta in Palazzo Pitti and of the face of the Flower goddess in Botticelli's 'Birth of Venus'; Helene Krahnstöver invited Olga and Alice to tea; the Krahnstövers are a lovely family and send greetings; the Warburg family were also invited to Bulles to tea; asks him whether he will publish his new research on proportion; Charlotte informs him that B. Seeber publishers [B.
