ContentsOlga is very happy being back in Hamburg; Mary's father has invited everybody to dinner; everybody is well, Mary's mother is looking very well; in one week she will leave for London via Frankfurt; Charlotte writes that Polga [Paul and Olga Kohn-Speyer] are very cheerful; the previous evening they were invited in Ernst Merckstrasse, nine people including Franziska from the Warburg household and Mrs. [Margareth] Carr and daughter Betty [ Elisabeth Maria Franke]; Mary's mother was in attendance, reclining on the sofa; the food was such that the Warrburgs could eat it [i.e. kosher]; Charlotte spoke with Mary's mother for a long time; Mary's mother wants Mary to have a nurse for eight weeks after the birth; the gentlemen played cards, Wilhelm [Hertz] played the piano; informs them that Max Friedländer [Max J. Friedländer] got engaged to Miss [Else] Arnhold; should she forward a brochure by Josef Michael with an article against Alfred Lichtwark?
