Contentsshe is very happy to read that Mary and Warburg go walking regularly, that Mary likes Nurse Emma; she met aunt Emma Bartels on 20/11/1898 and likes her very much; Emma is not as ugly as John [Johann Nicolaus] Hertz said of her; aunt Emma was astonished to hear that Mary had a Nurse Emma in Florence; Elly Warburg is doing fine, she is breastfeeding her daughter Olga; Charlotte heard from Vienna, that the idea to celebrate Charlotte Schiff's wedding [to Richard Rosenbacher] in Hamburg, has been shelved; the wedding will now take place in the house of aunt Rosa Schiff [in Vienna]; Nina is getting better, she has a new cook; Mary's father, John [Johann Nicolaus Hertz] and Paul Ruben visited Warburg family; Ruben will return to London soon; Olga sends cheerful letters but is very keen to return to Hamburg for a visit soon; Louise helped in a charity stall for three days which she enjoyed very much; in the evening the lectures start again at Miss [Helene] Bonfort's house with 'Ibsen'
