| Contents | sends New Year greetings; thanks them for their congratulation on the occasion of Max Warburg's engagement; on 30/12/1898 Max went to Alice Magnus's mother [Lola Magnus] in Altona and asked her formally for the hand of Alice, in the evening Alice came to Charlotte; the next evening Mrs. Magnus, four daughters and son Ernst, on holiday in Hamburg from London, visited the Warburg family for the end of year festivities; on 01/01/1899 the Warburg family lunched with Albert Warburg in Altona; Alice looked very beautifully and happy; the whole of Pöseldorf is enthusiastic about the engagement; Max and Alice visited Martin Goldschmidt and his family in the evening where they were fêted wildly; sends greetings to aunt Emma [Bartels] |
