| Contents | Warburg came home this day only at 16:30, having seen Berkenrath and [Georg] Gronau and then visited Bardini, which was very interesting; in the morning he arrived only at 11:30 in the archive, he always walks, and the post only brings the letters at 10:30; before that he does not want to leave; thanks her for her messages; asks her about the incident Embden - K. and more information about him [K.] and his character, otherwise he would not understand his behaviour; advises Mary she should compose and write her letters in the evening without disturbance, after all he does not receive other personal letters; the previous day Carlo [servant in Florence] visited, he had been employed until recently, was very nice and had a swelling at his neck; Warburg reports about the visit of Hesse and Fräulein von Kehler, his cook [Adelia] only produced basic food, Frau Hesse was not well and, therefore, had not come; he stops writing because he has to go to the institute, sends greetings to his mother, and Mary's family |
