Contentsreferencing Mary’s letter of 02/12/1902, Warburg likes to imagine her at Embden’s house with Petersens and shares her dislike of the Hirschkühe ([?] literally: deer cows), who he labels as “beautifully feathered geese” – if at least they were cows, he elaborates, that would enable them to do what Mary can do (among many other things) and what ultimately makes a woman a woman; Giovanni Poggi is with him and will post this letter; the previous day, [Herbert] Horne stayed with him until 12; these two are his most substantial colleagues; mentions the Villa Poggio a Cajano, asks her to write more extensively about her hair, teeth and else – has she had visitors again?
