| Contents | Warburg is angry, he just discovered a tool in the archive that, had he known earlier about it, would have saved him much work: the dowry book that listed names of mother, father and daughter with the date of birth of the latter, they were incomplete, but for those included also provided information about dowry of the husband; this day, Warburg found already Margareta Portinari and information about her dates; he realises again that one can only write about Florence if one sits there for ever – what is he supposed to do? – however, the place does not allow one to digest anything; sends his love to her and their family; adds that he knows Dr [Gustav] Ludwig very well; they tend to complement each other in their work |
