| Contents | refers to his cable, the Kuratorium [of Hamburgische Wissenschaftliche Stiftung] has resolved the [Deycke] project; [Werner] von Melle had prepared the ground very well; he had asked [Heinrich] Embden to give a lecture; after the very good lecture, [H] Lenhartz, [B] Nocht and [G] Thilenius spoke; they all approved the project to appoint Deycke; Moritz had told Siemers that Paul [Warburg] was prepared to advance funding and Bendixen found this a very practical solution; von Melle thanked the Warburg family for the support, Moritz Warburg then thanked him for approving the appointment of Deycke; before the meeting [Fritz] Bendixen told Moritz Warburg, that Lenhartz was a possible opponent of the plan, out of fear or envy; but having heard that Professors Baring and [Paul] Ehrlich approved of the appointment, Lenhartz fell in with the rest of the members of the Kuratorium; hopes that Warburgs had a good trip and that Mary is well again and that the young couple [Fritz and Anna Warburg] also are enjoying their honeymoon in Italy |
