Contentsshe enjoys her private room upstairs; does not like to sit in the large rooms downstairs, they are like offices; she loves the flowers in front of her windows, freesias and anemones, remind her of Italy and Warburg in Italy; would like for them to move to Florence or Rome, once their children will be independent; on her sister-in-law Lene [Magdalene Hertz], and the school to choose for her son Wilhelm [Wilhelm Adolph Hertz], whether Heinrich Hertz grammar school or Johanneum; Mr. [E.] Bertram wants him to go to the Johanneum, but Wilhelm [Wilhelm Adolph Hertz] is more interested in the sciences; the children are interested in church, Marietta wants to be baptized at a later stage, because, as Mary thinks, she does not want to be the only one in her circle of friends who is outside the church; Hildegard [Jauch?] and all the others are members; Mary tries to instil in her that an outward sign of group membership should not be not the main reason to join the group; [Friedrich] Sarre and [Johannes] Sieveking sent offprints of their articles; the etching by [August] Brömse has arrived, Mary likes it; is looking forward to Warburg's report from Padua
