| Contents | 'Fortuna' [on S. Maria della Salute] is enveloped in rain; the next day he will go to Ferrara and Bologna; [Wilhelm] Waetzoldt took Warburg to see Chiesa de' Miracoli, a perfect example of devotional architecture of the early Renaissance; Waetzoldt is simply a wonderful man, but greatly spoilt; on his return journey Warburg wants to talk to [Karl] Dyroff, who has translated the Abu Ma'shar passages in Boll's 'Sphaera'; he will stay in Hotel Continental; he does not begrudge her having eaten lapwing eggs, he for his part is spoilt with what he can see in Italy; promises to talk to Max [Warburg] [about the appointment of Max Warburg in the Kuratorium], sees no problem; everything would have been better had Ballin been in Hamburg; Warburg does not take it badly, but sees in it a turning point for his position in Hamburg; he will talk to [C.] Dapper [in Kissingen] about Max [Warburg]; asks Mary to congratulate Meta Heuer; he will write a card to Gosslers on the birth of the boy; sends greetings to Mrs.[Margarete] Waetzoldt; plans to go to Partenkirchen or to Thuringia after his stay in Bad Kissingen, from 10 to 17/05/1910; [Carl Georg] Heise is a very likeable chap |
