| Contents | she had a letter from Jim [James Loeb] who also told her about the beautiful concert which Warburg attended; Mary wants to go to an organ concert in Petrikirche the next evening, she cannot attend any other concerts yet; Wilhelm Hertz, his wife Hanna [Johanna] and Lene [Magdalene Hertz] have bought tickets for the entire Ring cycle [in the opera]; is very happy that Warburg met [B.A.] Fuchs; is very happy that Warburg does not feel isolated as scholar; advises him not to work during his treatment in Kissingen, it would give a bad example to Max [Warburg]; Max Adolph [Warburg] is well, he likes school, gets on well; in the morning Anna [Warburg] came and Mary and Anna spent a long time together, Mary was modelling; Dr. [Hans] Börger has called and wanted to talk to Warburg about the sculptor Höffler; Börger brought a photograph of a sculpture by Höffler which Mary finds beautiful; but Höffler is ill, he has consumption and needs to go to a sanatorium for six months, Mark 12 - 15,000; the Hamburger Stiftung cannot help Höffler, because he is not form Hamburg; Lichtwark is trying to raise funds, Börger as well; Höffler has a wife and a child and is living on Mark 80 per month, which is the absolute minimum; could Warburg ask other patients of Dapper's, Ballin etc., whether they could contribute to funds?; forwards the photograph which Warburg needs to return to [Hans] Börger in Kunsthalle; thanks him for the letter from Schweinfurth; is very happy with Warburg's successes; asks him not to be impatient and take his cure seriously |
