Contentshopes that he had a good trip to Venice; on the work in the house, books and tables have been moved into the Italian room; she is using Warburg's desk to write, hopes that something of his scholarly mind will flow into her muddled head; she enjoyed the lecture evening at Zippel's, but not many people attended; Dr. [Hermann] Ranke spoke on Egyptian portraits, Ranke seems to be related to the Zippel or Hennicke family; Ranke regretted it very much not to meet Warburg; many people send greetings; Halliers went to The Netherlands, they had a look at seaside resorts for their summer holidays; they advised against Zandvoort, but liked Noordwijk; on Max Adolph who is very good in Maths; Amsler & Ruthardt sent photographs of frescoes published by Knackfuss and requested their return should Warburg have no use for them; she sent them back as she thinks that Warburg bought enough rubbish for his article against H. Vogel; everybody sends greetings
