ContentsHaseloff and Warburg had thought about the composition of the next committee: [H] Lemonnier, Hermanin, Haseloff, Papini; [Adolph] Goldschmidt and [Paul] Clemen to become the German representatives in the large board; as parting shot of the outgoing committee Warburg spoke about Piero della Francesca at the end of the congress and presented the [Ramboux] illustrations to be published in the Proceedings; in the evening he attended a concert of old Italian music in Palazzo Corsini, programme booklet extant; the congress was a huge success, he has trust in the future of the organisation, not least because of his efforts ever since 11/11/1908 in Vicolo de'Savelli; he made new friends, Venturi, Hermanin, Papini, [Johannes Albertus Franciscus] Orbaan and many others; the board will give a dinner for the committee in the evening: Venturi and son Lionello with wife, Hermanin and wife, Haseloff and wife, [Paul] Kehr and wife, Forthingsham and wife, Lemonnier and wife, [Adolph] Goldschmidt, [Rudolf] Kautzsch and Warburg; [Walter] Mannowsky, Hirschfeld, [Wilhelm] Waetzoldt, [Alfred] Doren, [Carl Georg] Heise, [Wilhelm] Printz will also attend; Warburg will decide the seating arrangement; is not feeling too exhausted; plans to leave at the end of the week; if Mary wants to meet him, and if she has finished her period, they could stay for 2, 3 days in Berlin, Boardinghaus Kurfürstendamm; otherwise he could return to Hamburg and they go on holiday in Engelberg in January 1913; permits Butt [Max Adolph] to attend singing classes
