Contentsthanks her for Mary's report of her trip to the heath, calls it 'a page from her diary'; her description astonishes him a bit, it sounds as if he keeps her a prisoner in the house, a maid without a day off; 'we Warburgs' are also interested in nature, but not as contrast to civilisation; for them it is more a Sunday programme; he took a cable car to the summit of a mountain and walked down; he met Helene Krahnstöver and Marcella Kalan vom Hofe; he has invited them to tea at the weekend; does not like the people around him they are at best 'colorado claro'; hopes that his treatment will not last longer than three weeks, [Heinsheimer] agrees; he would be well enough to attend a congress in Berlin; would like to go to Stuttgart with Mary, he wants to see it; he has been elected member of the Kuratorium of the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz on 14/04/1913, but was told only now; he was told by Bode and Gabelentz that the other members are Davidsohn, [Adolph] Goldschmidt, Strzygowski, [Max] Dvorak; Warburg will accept and hopes that his contribution will be of use; is very pleased that Mary is sculpting and does not find it too difficult; what she needs to do is to keep on working; hopes that [Heinrich] Embden can help Jim [James Loeb]; Paul [Warburg] wrote a short note introducing Philipp Schiff to Warburg, who was also at Baden-Baden; Warburg thinks that Paul should come as well; thanks Miss Margaret [Thurnham] for her charming letter; he is much better; wants letters from his children
