Contentsthanks for two letters, commiserates him being stuck in the heat of Hamburg; wished she could send him clear Alpine air; their tour in the morning was wonderful, they found beautiful flowers and brought them to the hotel; they filled a number of vases with wild carnations and lilies; there are many guests in Gaflei, everybody is very friendly; they talk with the Buschmann couple, he has spent 12 years in China, knows [Otto] Franke; they also got friendly with a couple called Marburg, from Frankfurt, the painters Mr. [Hans] and Mrs. Brasch, from Frankfurt and the Tobler family from Hamburg; many guests are regulars; an old man from Denmark spoke to her about Waetzoldts with whom he is related; Christel Waetzoldt, Wilhelm's youngest sister, got engaged to Mr.[Otto] Strebel; Mr. Buschmann shot a chamois which was cooked and served up and tasted very good; the next day Dr. Schädler is expected to arrive; everybody is well, she thinks Max Adolph and Frede profit more from a holiday in the mountains than on the sea; advises him to stay as long as possible at Kösterberg
