Contentsthanks her for card and letter; is sorry that the weather in Munich is as bad as in Hamburg; hopes that they have snow when in Partenkirchen; the children are busy making parcel for soldiers, Detta [Marietta Warburg] for [Carl] Jost and Reese, Frede for [W.] Huart and Olejmicrak and Max Adolph for an East Prussian soldier; Buchsbaum [Amalie Buck] has bought eight tins with lard, honey and sauerkraut; Huart and Olejmicrak are stationed near Verdun; Max Adolph has not sent mouthwash to the soldier, he is sure that the soldier would not know what to do with it; he has sent him sausages; Wilhelm [Wilhelm Adolph Hertz] and Walther [Hertz] have also sent a parcel to him with sausages; is very pleased with the victory of the German troops in Soissons, 53.000 prisoners of war and 35 guns; Miss Buchsbaum [Amalie Buck] signs, everything is fine
