| Contents | Max Adolph thanks him for the book 'Grandebouche und Lausikoff - Kriegsberichte' [by Karlchen, recte Karl Ettlinger]; it is a very funny read; Mary Warburg visited Hans and Eva [Hertz] on 07/02/1915, but Hans and parents Wilhelm [Hertz] and Hanna [Johanna Hertz] were out; but aunt Lene [Magdalene Hertz], Eva and the 'Jesterburger' were busy creating a market scene out of plasticine; Mary then quickly called Max Adolph and Frede over and together they modelled a big market scene, which vegetables, sausages, baskets, market women, cats, dogs; aunt Hanna [Johanna Hertz] loved the exhibition; Fock has new war poems 'Hannes Mayer'; Mary writes that Max Adolph has a day off because of the victory in East Prussia; she visited Warburg's mother the previous day, she is very well; correspondence with abroad has been interrupted; Gertrud Embden was supposed to return to Hamburg the previous night; acknowledges receipt of his cable, is pleased that letters seem to get through at long last; hopes that the trip to Rome was successful |
