| Contents | she tried sending postcards, was reassured that the post was working, but she does not believe it; what seems to work are cables; assures him that the family is well; thanks him for two cards, is pleased that he seems happy and successful; Thilenius told her that Panconcelli-Calzia will arrive in Hamburg soon; is sure that Warburg will sorely miss Calzia, but his presence in Hamburg is also important, preparing the second issue of 'Rivista'; she will not attend the Brinckmann funeral, but she has written to Mrs. Brinckmann; thinks that his successor will be the 'unavoidable' St[ettiner]; Dr. [Wolf] Mannhardt forwarded a very good letter by Marchese Farinola about 'Rivista'; however, she cannot forward it to Warburg; Mary pays particular attention to news from Italy in the newspaper, she tells Miss Hintze which articles she has to cut out for the war archive; a new support system for artists is being set up, 'Künstlerhilfe'; 25 ladies were asked each to host four lectures in their houses, once a week for four weeks; the lecturers will receive Mark 25; Mary has agreed to be the hostess for Tuesday nights, starting on 14/02/1915; hopes he agrees; the lecturers who will lecture in her house are [Wilhelm] Niemeyer on war poetry, Düllberg on theatrical sets, Sita Schumacher and possibly Charlotte Niese; is pleased that the decision of a second issue of 'Rivista' has been taken; everybody sends greetings |
