Contentsthanks him for a card of 06/08/1917; he does not need to write long letters; the sun is setting in a spectacular way after a beautiful day; Mary went for a walk with Evchen [Eva] von Eckardt, whilst the Warburg children were with Mrs. Elisabeth Wegehaupt in the woods; Mrs. Wegehaupt has not been out of the house often, because her mother had to look after Mrs. Broicher; they will depart the next day; Mrs. von Eckardt and daughters Bella and Eva, possibly also the son, will move to Heidelberg for the winter and the husband has to stay on his own in Hamburg; Mary and Evchen went on a beautiful walk, past a farm where they were able to buy one litre of milk; the next day they plan to help harvesting apples in the farm of a niece of Nurse Helene [Peters]; they also plan a day trip to Sieben-Steinhäuser; has Warburg read the postcard by [Wilhelmine] Niels?; Niels wants to join them as well, but Mary will write to her that there is no accommodation available; Mary needs her peace and quiet; it is good of Elsa [Elkan] to visit Warburg and read the newspapers with him; has he visited Malice [Max and Alice Warburg]?
