| Contents | on the ceremony of the laying of the foundation stone in Kiel, as it was told to him by Karl Rathgen; Hunzinger obtained an invitation for the event in the last minute; Hunzinger has sent Mr. Möller to Bernhard Harms and requested an invitation; Harms then relinquished his own ticket, so that Harms did not attend and Hunzinger did attend; Hunzinger complained to [Felix von] Eckardt about the situation in which he finds himself in, as he is misunderstood as being an opponent of the university project; Excellenz Schmidt and Carl Heinrich Becker attended a service where Hunzinger preached, afterwards they had Sunday breakfast with ten H professors and the two mayors in Hotel Atlantik; C.H. Becker met [Rudolf] Tschudi in the evening; Warburg had not been invited to the breakfast, although Pauli and [Richard] Stettiner were invited; Warburg is still waiting for an answer from Becker; calls it 'miserable lack of instinct for the usefulness which lies in my work'; Warburg was appointed to run a department in Wissenschaftliche Stiftung and hopes that Max will attend the next meeting on 21/02/1918; Warburg has achieved that additional funds for Voigt will be discussed again; regrets that Max Warburg's interests at the moment are more centred on Berlin and not Hamburg; Warburg has spoken to Max's son Erich; mentions Max and Alice Warburg and Beckeraths who had dinner with [Aby Warburg and Mary Warburg] the previous evening; complains that his brother Max does not inform him fully; on his illness |
