Contentsthe previous day was the last day in the boarding school in Holzminden; the next day they will leave for a three day hike; he is well again; on the supply of winter fuel, it will be minimal; he will have lining put into a suit and he will wear sweaters; could they send him a thicker blanket, the Swedish boots, more pocket money for food?; he might bring the bicycle with him when he returns to Holzminden after the Christmas holidays; is pleased to hear that Warburg's health is improving, sends greetings, also from Professor [Paul] Hildebrandt and his wife [Else]; Hildebrandt's task is to assess private schools like Holzminden, Wickersdorf etc; on the 'Landschulheimtage', a three days event, to show parents the school, etc; mentions Miss Waldsberg, Dr. Jürries, Hans von Sivers, Miss Mußmann, Nottebohm, Slomann, Ohm, Zimmermann; the students drew caricatures of the teachers and captioned them with poems; there was a Sports Day, a performance of a shadow play in the main building in the evening; two fairy tales were read and illustrated by actors playing behind backlit sheets; there was a memorial event for former students killed in the war; speeches, questions by parents about the principles in the school; B. Hell spoke well, radically and big-heartedly
