Contentsthanks for letter of 07/12/1920 and telephone call, which, however, was too short; [Hans] Berger does not allow Doren to visit before Saxl; finds it 'tyrannical'; wants to hand the 'Ringbücher' 'springbacks] also to Saxl; Max Adolph's pastels are quite good, but the painting of the landscape in the mist is too 'literal'; Max Adolph wrote that his Rembrandt lecture in school was cancelled; who is Dr. Girr, the history teacher?; Warburg does not know him; misses Mary's comment on Max Warburg's report of the visit to Jena; if only he could spend at least Christmas in Hamburg; is annoyed by Mr. Genthe; 'Hamburger Fremdenblatt' is no longer delivered; [P] Weber visited, but Warburg does not like him, he is too 'pedagogical' for him; what do Mary and the children want for Christmas?; he has promised Nurse Frieda a large amount of money if she helps him get to Hamburg at Christmas
