Contentsshe had a long telephone conversation with Dr. [Eugen] Schmidt in Mölln; [Heinrich] Embden has checked over Max Adolph who is well; Peter [Petersen?] has a cough, but does not have whooping cough and is getting better; Panofsky rang her and sends greetings; she also phoned Mrs. Heise who is concerned about her son's, Carl Georg Heise, chances of employment in Lübeck since Dr. [Gustav Friedrich] Hartlaub applied for the post as well; the question of the domestic staff has still not been settled, they are not the only family who has difficulties; other families only have cleaners; Ruth Schramm has been cooking for her family for some time now; the warm spring weather has passed; they want to start with painting the front of the house next week; [Fritz] Schumacher made the stage designs for 'Macbeth' and Mary wants to attend one performance; [Wilhelm] Printz wrote that he has returned from his trip, he has not received Mary's letter before his departure
