Contentsis very agitated, wanted to ask Nurse Frieda to accompany him to Dr. Ludwig Binswanger, as he wanted to bring him a copy of 'Bildniskunst', but it proved too complicated as Warburg wanted Dr. Liebermann to join them; the new deputy, Dr. Kurt Binswanger, is charming, but under Ludwig Binswanger's orders; Nurse Frieda wants to leave soon, but he has got used to her too much; he had a nice letter from Milly Becker [Bianca Emilie Rohland-Becker], who hopes to visit him; is waiting for mail, also from Saxl; agrees that Nurse Frieda should earn francs 200 per month, she has to buy everything she needs herself; he made a mistake originally with calculating the exchange rate; if only Max Warburg would visit, hopes that the family has celebrated his birthday; Warburg loses the ground under his feet, where is his family, are they all alive?; in the afternoon he met Dr. Smidt in the garden
