| Contents | tells him not to concern himself about her or the house; everything is fine, the children write to her, she has a large correspondence; five or six more boys have been admitted to the sanatorium [Dahm] in Festenburg, Marietta has to cook for 18 people, she treats it as practical work experience; forwards a letter by James Loeb; Panina [Paul and Nina Warburg] will arrive in Germany at the end of August, they will stay with mother [Charlotte Warburg] and go with her to Baden Baden; does not understand why he got so agitated when seeing two cars arrive at the sanatorium; hopes that someone of Warburg's Swiss friends will be allowed to visit soon; would love it if 'Beckerchen' [Bianca Emilie Rohland-Becker] could visit; the previouos evening Frieda Hübner gave a concert in Mary's house, she played beautifully, everything by heart, mostly Brahms; Wilhanna [Wilhelm and Johanna Hertz] and friends attended, Dehn family, Mr. Braband, Mrs. Dr. Bitter; Frieda Hübner left in the morning with her two year old son Hansel, the girl is already ten; Mary will send a copy of [Wilhelm] Waetzoldt's review in 'Frankfurter Zeitung' together with a fun article by [Franz] Dornseiff on Florence in 'Tagebuch'; Walther [Hertz] has left for Lübeck where he will meet Hans [Hertz] and go with him to Dahme; next day she will go to Kösterberg; reminds Warburg of Wilhelm's [Hertz] birthday |
