| Contents | thanks for two letters and the note by Nurse Frieda; [Heinrich] Embden will visit soon; Lene [Magdalene Hertz] and son Wilhelm [Wilhelm Adolph Hertz] came from Lübeck to see grandfather Benemann before his return to Worms; they had lunch with Mary together with Clara Hertz, Lola du Bois-Reymond, Walther [Hertz] and the Warburg family, a considerable amount of people; Mrs. Professor [Ferdinand?] Noack, visiting Liepmanns, called on Mary; her husband, Moritz, is working in Greece; she spoke of her sons who remember Warburg well; their house in Zuoz is rented out; on the previous evening the Warburgs, Bettina, Renate, Erich, Rudolf Hahn and Jimmy [James Paul Warburg] attended the dance performance of Mary Wigmann; in the evening they will dine with [Julius and Louise] Derenberg; mother and Alice will return on 02/10/1921; she does not remember the name of the painter who painted Warburg's grandfather, was it Ascher?; on the mahogany table was a little silver basket from grandmother [Regine] Oppenheim, they kept pennies there; he can be sure that Mary has answered from Heilwigstrasse, he does not need to doubt her |
