ContentsHilda, Frede's friend, has called, she is writing a letter to Frede; Mary does not expect Marietta to write long letters, she knows how busy she is; admires her if she can cook for 18 people; Irmgard will have to build larger premises, if the children's sanatorium keeps on growing; Frieda Hübner and Walther [Hertz] have left and Mary is on her own at long last; Mary and Frieda Hübner visited the [Hübner] children in Lokstedt, Hans and Liesel; the previous evening there was a musical evening in Mary's house, Friedel [Frieda Hübner], Dehms, Mrs. Ritter [?], Mrs. Braband, uncle Willy [Wilhelm Hertz], aunt Hanna [Johanna Hertz]; Frieda played beautifully, Brahms; Mary served ice and raspberries; mother Magnus has died; the engagement of Lola [Warburg] and Rudolf Hahn will be made public; mother Hahn and Rudolf will stay with Dora Magnus; Max Adolph sent a letter from Saaleck, where he spent his birthday; he is on a bicycle tour through Franconia with Günsel; whether Max Adolph will have time to visit Festenburg is undecided; tells her to write to Warburg a postcard once a week; wants to see the photographs from Festenburg; she will send aprons, asks whether fruit, boots and Frede's belt have arrived?; Mary is working hard on Eva [Warburg]'s portrait painting; it needs to be finished by 17/07/1921; it is also the day of uncle Wilhelm's [Hertz] birthday; Grete Heyn wanted to invite Marietta to her eve of wedding party on 03/08/1921; will she be back in Hamburg by then?; Mrs. Horn has still not called Marie [Maria Elisabeth Hertz]; Mary will write to Frede about staying at Kösterberg and about catching up with school subjects; she could get private tuition from 18/08/1921 onwards; Mary has already spoken to the teacher, Miss Hauenschild; aunt Helene Bock sends greetings, expects Marietta's visit when back in Hamburg so that she can show her new social dwellings, districts etc.
