| Contents | admires her for working in the operating theatre; can Marietta stand it all?; hopes that Marietta's finger has healed well; Geheimrat [Norden] and his female assistant left, Norden used the large bedroom, his assistant the room which [Wilhelm] Printz normally uses; both were very grateful; in the afternoon Mary attended a concert at Otto Embden's, in the evening she attended the Norden lecture, very good; Norden spoke about prophecies in classical antiquities which flowed into the miracles worked by Christ; some of the strict Christian believers like mother [Olga] Schramm were scandalized; afterwards she invited the old couple [Max Albert Wilhelm] Lenz and Norden into her living room, where they continued their very interesting conversation; Frieda Hübner played a beautiful Beethoven sonata; Hübners are waiting every day for their furniture from Rome to arrive in Hamburg |
