| Contents | beautiful Sunday, many people row on Alster; fruit trees are blossoming; hopes that Warburg has received the card she sent with Richard Samson; he is a charming young man, told her much about Warburg, they looked for the book he wanted and found it [Minde-Pouet]; it is the birthday of her beloved mother, 'Muttchen'; the previous day she was in Ohlsdorf cemetery and planted pansies on all four graves; she went for tea to family Pauli and for dinner to [Julius and Louise] Derenberg; Fritzanna [Fritz and Anna Warburg] could not attend, as they had to meet Richard and Charlotte Rosenbacher in Hotel Atlantic; Mary and Luise [Louise Derenberg] selected some pieces of jewellery from Charlotte Warburg's estate, Mary selected a ring with a pearl and diamonds and a green scarabaeus brooch, which she likes much more than diamonds; Mary selected for Marietta an old black enamel brooch with small diamonds, set in gold, from grandmother [Regine] Oppenheim; for Frede a bracelet, gold filigree and clasp with cameo; thinks she will get a watch for Max Adolph; is looking forward to [Heinrich] Embden's report; Richard Rosenbacher and Arthur Cohen visited her, Charlotte had stayed in the hotel; Rosenbachers will move from London to Vienna; Mary will attend a concert of Minna Wilckens and others in Altona in the afternoon; Frede, Alice Ruperti and Lola Blümlein are in the garden; Wegehaupts will come in the evening; Max Adolph sent a short card |
