Contentscongratulates her as mother of Max Adolph; may their son and student develop and learn a profession; is waiting for letters from Heidelberg, from Max Adolph and also from from Warburg's friends in Heidelberg; only [Victor] Goldschmidt has written; fears that he has damaged Max Adolph's development since November 1918; Warburg might be allowed out to the bookshop to buy books for Max Adolph; he might send a cable; has not received her letters, is certain that they have been intercepted; does not believe that his family and the library are doing well; in the morning he has received 'fake' Mouson soap, dreadful food stuffs, doctored chocolate, which made him very agitated; is still waiting for olivette soap promised by Paul Warburg; has no hope to see his family again, but waits for Mary in October; has posted letter for Max Adolph, but felt sick, 'Klammer' [pains in his chest]; hopes that the [Fritz] Reuter book ['Läuschen und Rimels'] and [Johannes] Geffcken's 'Aus der Werdezeit des Christentums' will arrive in time for Max Adolph's birthday; sends greetings to Frede, Datzen [Marietta Warburg], 'Bücherstube' [library staff]
