| Contents | they were busy making Christmas parcels, Marietta for Bremen, Mary for [her nephews] Wilhelm [Wilhelm Adolph Hertz], Walther [Hertz] and Hans [Hertz], with cakes etc.; on the parcel she will send with Max Adolph: she has not wrapped anything so that it can be checked at the border and she asks Warburg not to open anything before Christmas; Mary was happy about the news, written on the envelope of his letter of 09/12/1922, that Milly [Bianca Emilie Rohland-Becker] was allowed to visit him the next day; hopes that he enjoyed her presence; finds it touching that he has been out shopping for Christmas although his feet are still sore; Max Adolph will show is seminar paper for Ernst Hoffmann to Warburg; he is now writing a paper for [Ludwig] Curtius; Max Adolph will not bring the slides, Saxl will bring them whenever Binswangers will allow his visit; Mary also enjoyed reading the letter by [Jacques] Dwelshauvers; Mary will write to Mrs. [Clara] Dwelshauvers; cannot grasp that their son, Lorenzo, is a widower; Frede attended a dance party at Otto Cohen's the previous evening; Otto's niece Hertha was there, the daughter of Rudolph Cohen; Frede found the dance evening somewhat boring |
