| Contents | the previous evening he and Saxl went to Ludwig Binswanger to meet Professor [Theodor] Haering, a philosopher from Tübingen, calm, clever; Warburg and Saxl went for a walk, beautiful spring weather; thanks for Mary's letters and Fortuna pictures from [Alfred] Doren; cannot see an illustration with occasio and the scalp; is pleased that [Rudolf] Kautzsch visited Mary; Mary should buy a good supply of postage stamps, he had to pay additional postage; if only Max Adolph wrote about his plans!; hopes to receive an Easter letter from the family; is very happy with Bing's letter and the illustrations used by Doren; but Doren does not seem to have discussed Isis Euploia and kairos-occasio; Warburg will dictate something about it to Saxl so that he can send it to Doren; is grateful for information on brazen serpent, Moses 4,21; reminds her to send him 'Leichdornpflaster' [corn plaster]; orders black elastic bands for his garters and white bands for the letter folder of his late mother, possibly available from the firm Haupt; orders also a bottle of iodine, a new Gillette shaver; Kurt Binswanger has asked Saxl to explain the method and scholarly work of Warburg's library; 'a stony business'; this is a trap, Kurt Binswanger does not want to know anything which does not lead to 'our ruin'; Saxl does not see through people, Warburg cannot do anything to make Saxl understand that these people are stupid; sends Easter greetings to Datzen [Marietta Warburg], Max Adolph, Federchen [Frede Warburg], 'Bücherstube' [library staff] |
