Contentsthe month starts with a visit by Anna 'Blumentopf' [should be Blumenfeld] and with being weighed, not good omens; Anna arrived, but has been travelling for a long time, so could not bring news from home; Binswangers did not show themselves friendly, it is the revenge for freedoms given to Warburg; Warburg accompanied Anna to the border; she has gone to Basle, to a friend of her late husband Franz, Mr. Bietenholz; Dr. Rees, who was supposedly also a friend of her late husband, has proved himself unreliable to Warburg; does Mary know Dr. von Reybekiel?; is she reliable?; asks Mary to contact Hans Blumenfeld at once to find out where his mother is; requests new envelopes; acknowledges receipt of kohinoor pencil leads, postcard from Friday evening and greetings from Wilhelm [Wilhelm Adolph Hertz, nephew]; Warburg would have liked to hear Lietzmann speak; finds Anna Blumenfeld interesting, but very ugly; if only Mary could be with him, instead of these 'surrogates'!; his hernia is painful
