Contentson Saxl: she always found that Saxl does not make ethical demands on other people and understands everything and excuses everything; but he himself does his duty as a matter of fact and even more, when he feels that he is responsible for something; he it totally unegotistically and without the slightest consideration for himself; she cannot call this character trait 'anti-moral'; it is true, in matters of money he is easygoing in his private life, but when it comes to the library he is very concerned; but even so he is not interested in petty accounting, but this is also a result of the mad financial situation at present; it is useless to save pennies; Mark 10,000 buy you one pound of butter; she has never noticed that he quarrelled with colleagues; the affair with André Jolles can be traced back to the plan by Jolles to publish a Ninfa article in a Dutch periocidal and the same article in a German translation in the series 'Vorträge' of the library publications; this is against the contract the library has with Teubner publishers; as Jolles did not want to lose his salary from the Dutch publishers, Saxl could do nothing else but cancel Jolles's lecture in Hamburg; Mary was sorry about it, none of the lectures dealt with a topic so near to Warburg's heart as Jolles'es proposed lecture; how did Warburg find Anna Blumenfeld's visit?
